Dr. Rachel Martingale, PT, DPT

Garden City Physical Therapist

Dr. Rachel Martingale was born and raised in Western Massachusetts. She attended Siena College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Rachel spent three years conducting research at the Center for Cell Biology and Cancer Research at Albany Medical Center where she discovered her passion for patient care. Rachel continued her education at Stony Brook University, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014. Rachel was awarded the NYPTA Student Participation Award in 2013 for her involvement in the state organization, and in 2014 was inducted into the Alpha Eta Society, the national honor society for allied health professions. During her doctoral training Rachel had the opportunity to gain clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, school-based pediatrics, early intervention services and sub-acute rehabilitation. In addition, Rachel became involved in a number of community service programs including Project D.R.E.A.M., The Miracle League of Long Island, and various Amputee Soccer Clinics run by Dr. Eric Lamberg, EdD, PT, CPed.

Rachel has developed areas of special interest including orthopedic rehabilitation, pediatrics, and adapted sports. During her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, cooking, snowboarding and hiking.
