Shulamit “Shulie” Weiss, MS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapy

Shulie is a licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of New York.  She received a Bachelors from the University of Maryland in Psychology and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Touro College in New York, NY. Before pursuing her degree in occupational therapy, Shulie worked as an early intervention therapist for children with autism and volunteered at the occupational and physical therapy department of an assisted living facility, where she developed her passion for occupational therapy and helping individuals increase their independence and improve their quality of life.  Shulie uses an evidence-based practice approach to develop treatment plans for her patients and believes in providing patient-centered care where she and her patients work together to ensure that treatments are meaningful and effective. She promotes a calm and positive therapeutic environment for her patients to help them feel comfortable and perform their best.  Shulie enjoys working with a diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurological, and post-operative conditions.  In her free time Shulie enjoys traveling, running, long walks with her dog, and spending time with family and friends.
